Osvaldo Ardiles has suggested to talkSPORT that Tottenham Hotspur should sell Christian Eriksen in the summer transfer window.

The Tottenham legend believes that Eriksen has decided to leave the North London outfit this summer, and has suggested that the Premier League club should not make any attempt to change his mind.

The Denmark international attacking midfielder recently suggested, as quoted on talkSPORT, with talkSPORT also reporting that Manchester United and Real Madrid are interested in the 27-year-old.

Ardiles told talkSPORT: “It looks to me like he has put his mind on a move – that he wants to go somewhere else.

“And if that is the case it’s futile for the club to try and keep a player when he wants to leave.

“I won’t say he’s not happy with us, because he is, but his mind is trying to play somewhere else, and the best thing is to part company.”

Tottenham Hotspur exit?

Eriksen is one of the best and most creative players in Europe, and the 27-year-old is at the peak of his powers.

Spurs do not have a readymade replacement for the Dane in their squad, which means that if the North London outfit sell them, then they will be start looking for a similar player, and it will not be cheap.

According to WhoScored, Eriksen made 30 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham last season, scoring eight goals and providing 12 assists in the process.
