Former Tottenham player and manager Ossie Ardiles has urged Tottenham fans to enjoy the team’s Champions League game tomorrow night.

Spurs have failed to win any of their last four Premier League games, but Ardiles has reminded fans that they have plenty to be encouraged about too.

Mauricio Pochettino’s have team defied the odds in Europe this season, and have topped a group containing Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund with a game to spare.

This evening they host Apoel Nicosia, in a game they are heavy favourites to win, and can afford to rest their top players.

Ardiles has sought to re-assure fans that they should be cheerful, especially with their injury problems beginning to clear up.

Erik Lamela made his return from injury last week, although he is ineligible to play in the Champions League this evening.

Football London reported yesterday that Tottenham also hope to have tough tackling midfielder Victor Wanyama back for the Christmas fixtures, having been out of action since August.
