Harry Winks has been superb for Tottenham Hotspur lately.
Ossie Ardiles has taken to Twitter to respond to a Spurs fan’s praise of Harry Winks, insisting that he has been more and more impressed with the midfielder in recent times.
This campaign has really been Winks’s breakout season at Tottenham. The 23-year-old has already made more Premier League appearances this term than he has in any other campaign, and his partnership with Moussa Sissoko has been one of the revelations of the season.
Had Spurs fans been told before the season began that the pair would play regularly together in the middle of the park and establish themselves as key men for Mauricio Pochettino, those supporters would have probably had serious concerns about what was to come.
The greater worry would have probably been over Sissoko, but Winks’s emergence and development still cannot be overlooked. And Ardiles is clearly a keen admirer of the youngster.
When a Tottenham supporter took to social media to seemingly list everything they appreciate about Winks’s game, Ardiles suggested that he was also in the midfielder’s fan club with his response…
Winks now has the perfect chance this week to prove how far he has come with Spurs hosting Borussia Dortmund in the first-leg of their Champions League last 16 tie on Wednesday.
