Mexico boss Juan Carlos Osorio has tipped Marcelo Bielsa for success with Leeds United.

Mexico boss Juan Carlos Osorio has told ESPN that he thinks Marcelo Bielsa will do ‘very well’ as Leeds United manager – and claims they actually spoke about the prospect three weeks ago.
Leeds sacked manager Paul Heckingbottom on Friday afternoon, despite only appointing him as Thomas Christiansen’s replacement back in February.
The former Barnsley boss Heckingbottom won just four of his 16 games in charge of the Whites in a fairly dismal spell at Elland Road, which lasted less than four months as Leeds once again go on the lookout for a new manager.

That search seemingly won’t take long though, as owner Andrea Radrizzani appears to have set his sights on an ambitious deal for Marcelo Bielsa.
The Yorkshire Evening Post have reported Leeds’ interest in the Argentinian, who has been one of the most tactically innovative coaches of the generation having often pushed a rarely-seen 3-3-1-3 system.
Bielsa, 62, is out of work having lost his job as Lille boss in December, and he brings a wealth of experience following stints in charge of the likes of Argentine, Chile, Athletic Bilbao and Marseille.

Bielsa’s potential arrival at Elland Road has got many talking, and now Mexico boss Juan Carlos Osorio – who is currently preparing for the World Cup – has offered his view.
The Colombian has told ESPN that he spoke to Bielsa about the prospect of joining Leeds three weeks ago, and predicted great success for him as he seemingly prepares to embark on his first venture into English football.
“He’s a top man and a top manager and he’ll do well,” said Osorio. “In my visit there three weeks ago, I spoke to him and he mentioned it to me and I’m very pleased. I think that league, the Premier League and the English league will be his ultimate goal and hopefully he’ll get there. I think he will do very well,” he added.
