Nottingham Forest’s fine start to the season continued at St James’ Park as Mark Warburton’s side knocked Premier League Newcastle United out of the League Cup.
Jason Cummings twice put Forest ahead on Tyneside, before Tyler Walker sealed a 3-2 win for the visitors in extra time.

However, it was their teammate, Ben Osborn, who drew much of the plaudits afterwards, with Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas following Warburton’s lead and singing the midfielder’s praises.
The Forest academy graduate has had his detractors, although he must have been doing something right, with Newcastle reported to have held an interest in signing him at various stages throughout the calendar year.

And with Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez said to want to add to his midfield this summer, some Forest fans fear the Magpies could come in for Osborn after seeing him first hand.
