David Ornstein has told Sky Sports that Arsenal’s Stan and Josh Kroenke feel that Mesut Ozil should be sold.
Mikel Arteta and Edu are both seemingly determined to offload the Arsenal playmaker this month, with rumours over his future rife.
Ozil has been heavily linked with a move to DC United and Fenerbahce in recent weeks, with his time at the Emirates Stadium finally coming to an end.
And Ornstein suggests that the Kroenkes are very supportive of Arteta trying to sell Ozil, as they feel his stance is the correct one.
“Arsenal’s ownership, the Kroenkes, totally support Mikel Arteta and Edu on this. They say it’s football reasons, Mesut Ozil probably disagrees,” Ornstein said.
“But the reality is that it is coming to an end. Neither Ozil or Arsenal expect him to registered if he does indeed stay beyond this transfer window. It does seem to be done.”
If Ozil does leave Arsenal in the coming weeks then it will bring to end his seven and a half year stay at the club.

Ozil, who was once hailed as ‘unbelievable’ by Gunners goalkeeper Bernd Leno (Goal), has been totally excluded from Arsenal first-team matters this year, and has not played even one game for Arteta’s side.
That has been a controversial move among the fan base, especially when Arsenal were in poor form.
But with Emile Smith Rowe now breaking through, Arteta may well feel vindicated with his choice to leave out the player he said was ‘incredible’ soon after taking over (Sky).
Ozil has the ability in possession to aid Arsenal’s team, but with Arteta wanting his side to press hard off the ball, it has been deemed that the 31-year-old simply doesn’t fit the side’s current tactical system.
