Reported Arsenal target Orkun Kokcu spoke to Rijnmond Sport about his future beyond the end of this season.
The teenager is one of the biggest prospects in the Dutch top-flight at the moment. A number of clubs are said to be interested in his services ahead of next season but Arsenal seem the favourites.
Edu wants Kokcu at Arsenal
The Daily Mail claimed recently that Arsenal’s technical director Edu is a huge fan of the Turk and wants to bring him to the Emirates this summer.
Kokcu is also attracting interest from other top European leagues but the young midfielder claims that he is not interested in any speculation at the moment.
He said: “I want to make the best of it next season and want to be as fit as possible when the competition starts again. For now I’m only working with Feyenoord. I have a contract until 2023, so I’m not in a hurry.”
“It (Arsenal’s interest) doesn’t really matter to me, frankly. My father and my agent are busy with that. I try to isolate myself from that. That works fine. Fortunately, I am a footballer and not an agent.”
The Dutch government concluded all sports activity in the country which means that the Eredivisie will resume from the start next season.

Kokcu certainly seems focused on the upcoming campaign but that shouldn’t mean that he will stay at Feyenoord.
Arsenal are said to be working hard to lure him in to North London with Edu reportedly the driving force behind the move.
Kocku will cost about £23 million, (Daily Mail) which is a huge fee for a teenager. However, his potential seems to be massive and it might well prove to be a bargain in a few years time.
