It was Southampton’s first victory since beating Everton on January 19.
Midfielder Oriol Romeu commented on Twitter after the win.
This win was important for the Saints ahead of a tough visit to Manchester United this weekend.
Southampton did hold United to a 2-2 draw earlier this season, but the Red Devils are a much improved side under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Romeu scored in last night’s win over Fulham, his first goal of the season.
