Rey has left Leeds on a season-long loan to join Spanish side UB Conquense.

Oriol Rey has posted a message to Leeds United fans on Twitter after he decided to leave Elland Road on a season-long loan to join Spanish fourth tier outfit UB Conquense – and Liam Cooper reacted to his post.
Central midfielder Rey, 20, has failed to break into the Leeds side since being lured to Elland Road on a two-year contract as one of many young players brought in to bolster the club’s Under-23 set-up.
His only glimpses of first-team action have come in the form of acting as an unused substitute against Newport County last season, before doing the same this time around against Swansea City.
With only a year remaining on his contract at Elland Road, the chances of Rey earning a new deal at Leeds remain slim. He posted on Twitter after confirming a loan with Conquense for the 2018-19 season.
The signing of Lewis Baker on loan from Chelsea and the rebirth of Mateusz Klich has pushed Eunan O’Kane out of the reckoning, so Rey had little chance to break in despite impressing in Myanmar.
Captain Cooper showed just why he has earned the armband at Elland Road, by reacting on Twitter to the youngster’s Tweet and wishing him all the best ahead of the new season.
Rey could make his debut for his new club on Saturday, as they play host to Sabadell.
