The Celta Vigo ace would be a wonderful addition to the Wolverhampton Wanderers squad.
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo will surely be looking to bolster his ranks at Molineux this summer, in an effort to build a squad capable of gatecrashing the top six next season.
One area where the Portuguese might want to strengthen is his centre-forward department, with more competition required for Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota.
And with this in mind, Wolves should join Liverpool, Tottenham and West Ham in the race to sign Celta Vigo ace Maxi Gomez, who has a £43 million release clause according to the Daily Mail.
The Uruguayan is one of Europe’s most highly coveted strikers, having enjoyed a successful La Liga campaign, racking up 13 goals and five assists in 34 appearances.
And Gomez would be ideal for Nuno’s setup at Wolves.
The 22-year-old is a big and strong centre-forward, and he seems to be ideally suited to the robust nature of the Premier League.
Wolves play with an incredibly high tempo, and Gomez would slot right in at Molineux, what with his willingness to run in behind the opposition’s defence.
The Uruguay international has not yet hit his prime, so Nuno would be able to mould him into the kind of striker that he wants.
Gomez undoubtedly could go on to become one of the best strikers in Europe, and for just £43 million, Wolves must do everything within their power to bring him to Molineux this summer.
