According to Sky Sports (Transfer Live blog, 8:31am, Thursday, January 31, 2019), Newcastle United are stalling over sending Jacob Murphy on loan to Norwich City (click here to read more).

It has been reported that Newcastle are pondering on what the best option for the 23-year-old winger is.

With the Magpies reportedly hesitant on sending the former Norwich City winger on loan to The Hawthorns, Leeds United should make a move on January transfer deadline day.

There is still enough time for Leeds to struck up with a deal with Newcastle over a loan move for the former England Under-21 international and to convince the youngster to switch to Elland Road until the end of the season.

Earlier this month, Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa suggested to Leeds Live that he wants to bring in a new winger, and although the Whites are interested in Swansea City’s 21-year-old Daniel James – as reported in The Yorkshire Evening Post – Murphy will be a better signing.

The 23-year-old has more experience than James, and the Newcastle man has also proved himself in the Championship.

According to WhoScored, the winger made 32 starts and five substitute appearances in the Championship for Norwich during the 2016-17 campaign, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
