Leeds United are likely to be quiet in the final stages of the transfer window, but one exciting rumour has emerged with Daryl Dike on the radar.

The Whites may move for a winger in Daniel James, but it seems that Victor Orta will be quiet in the next 24 hours or so.

Still, TEAMtalk claim that Leeds have been eyeing up Orlando City ace Dike for a potential loan move, with Orta seemingly not looking to splash big money.

There really isn’t much time to get a deal done now, but if Leeds can rush this through or even tee up a deal for the January window, the Whites could have a gem on their hands.

Dike, 21, joined Barnsley on loan in the January transfer window, smashing nine goals in 22 outings for the Tykes to become a Championship star.

Now back at Orlando City, Dike still has admirers in England, with Orta and Leeds seemingly keeping very close tabs on his progress.

With unbelievable power and a turn of pace to go along with quick feet, promising link-up play and predatory finishing, Dike looks like a star of the future.

The thing that will really excite Leeds fans is that Barnsley’s Jordan Williams compared Dike to Romelu Lukaku last season – and those attributes make you see why.

Of course, Dike isn’t anywhere near Lukaku’s quality right now. Lukaku just moved for a huge £97.5million fee, and Dike was likely cost short of £20million.

There is huge potential in Dike, and with that skillset and his huge potential, Leeds could have their very own Lukaku if Orta can bring him to West Yorkshire.
