Harry Kane’s future is back on the agenda this summer.
It won’t get sorted during Euro 2020 but it is lingering in the background, even if it’s not impacting his mentality or performances.
Kane is the best striker in the division and hasn’t won a major trophy in his career yet.
No wonder he wants out and Manchester City are the most natural destination, and one of the few clubs who could potentially afford him.
That said, it won’t be easy negotiating with Daniel Levy over his talisman who has three years left on his contract.
Which means Kane looks most likely to remain a Spurs player ahead of the opening game of next season.
That match just so happens to be at home to champions City.
It will be another glimpse for Kane at the standard of team he could be playing in. Just like the EFL Cup final in April.

Paulo Fonseca is a decent manager but not of the calibre which will convince Kane that Spurs are building the kind of team capable of meeting his needs, or matching his quality.
If City win that opening game of the season, it could be seriously demoralising for Kane after just one match of the campaign.
The transfer window will still be open. It’s not like he’ll be able to force his way out so a defeat might just hammer home his situation once again.
