Some Arsenal fans on social media have been praising Emile Smith Rowe after his performance against Villarreal in the Europa League.
As you can imagine, Gunners supporters were understandably very disappointed by their team’s performance against Villarreal, but one player who was a beacon of hope was Smith Rowe.
While the majority of the players put in a flat performance, Smith Rowe was constantly looking to make things happen and driving the team forward.
It could be said that Smith Rowe should have scored as he squandered a golden opportunity in the first-half, but his all-round play was still excellent.
Sadly, there weren’t many other players who played with the same hunger and desire and thus, the Gunners have been eliminated from the Europa League, bringing about an end to their hopes of playing in next season’s Champions League.
