Cameron Carter-Vickers has been impressing since leaving Tottenham Hotspur to join Celtic on loan this past summer.

Tottenham extended the USA international’s contract by a year before sending him to the Scottish Premiership outfit on a season-long arrangement.

The Spurs powerhouse, who has been on the North London club’s books since he was a teenager, produced a solid performance in Celtic’s 1-0 victory over Motherwell at Parkhead on Sunday.

So many Hoops supporters are desperate to see their club sign Jota on a long-term basis, on the back of his heroics since moving to Glasgow on loan.

But Celtic fans are also keen to see Ange Postecoglou snap up the Tottenham centre-back.

Here’s how some fans reacted to the big man’s latest performance:

Will Celtic sign Carter-Vickers?

Well, that’s really anyone’s guess.

Listen, Carter-Vickers has zero future at Tottenham, where his contract expires next summer, but the Premier League outtfit have slapped a £10 million valuation on him.

As things stand, it seems very unlikely that Celtic will be shelling out that sort of money for a central defender.

On a positive note, Spurs themselves will know that nobody is going to pay that figure for Carter-Vickers and therefore the Scottish outfit could, in theory, knock a sizeable chunk out of that number during negotiations, if there are any.

Still only 23, the Tottenham product’s ceiling is high and if Celtic do want to purchase him on a permanent basis, well he’s probably there for the taking.
