Michael Dawson has said on Sky Sports News (1:35pm, November 12, 2022) that it is only a matter of time before Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Tielemans is out of contract at Leicester at the end of the season, and Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Belgium international midfielder.
According to Voetbal Primeur, Arsenal already have an agreement in place to bring the 25-year-old to the Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2023.
90min have reported that the Gunners want to sign Tielemans from Premier League rivals Leicester in the January transfer window.
Former Tottenham Hotspur central defender and Sky Sports pundit Dawson believes that Arsenal will eventually be able to sign the former AS Monaco star.

Michael Dawson on Youri Tielemans to Arsenal rumour
Dawson said when asked if Tielemans would be a good signing for Arsenal: “Yes, he would. They have been looking at him for a long, long time.
“He is coming to the end of his contract, so that would be a no-brainer, I think. Will they wait until the summer? That will be a question.”
The pundit added: “Tielemans, I think it will only be a matter of time.”
Could a January transfer happen?
In our view, Arsenal may not be able to sign Youri Tielemans from Leicester City in the January transfer window.
Yes, the Belgian is out of contract at the Foxes at the end of the season, but Leicester are surely not to let go of one of the best players in the middle of the campaign.
How much would Arsenal be willing to pay for a player in January when they could get him for free next summer?
£15 million?
£20 million?
Leicester are a rich and established club in the Premier League, and they are not in desperate need of money right now.
