Tottenham Hotspur talent Troy Parrott has been tipped to break his goal drought sooner rather than later.
Parrott has had two loans away from Spurs this season but neither have been fruitful in front of goal.
Tottenham recalled the 19-year-old striker from his season-long agreement with Millwall earlier in the campaign and sent him to League One side Ipswich Town in January.
But in total, the Irish hitman has gone some 1,300 minutes without finding a goal for either club.
Parrott is considered as one of the North London club’s most exciting prospects and Ipswich goalkeeper Tomas Holy is certain that he’s going to end this barren spell very soon.
He told The East Anglian Times: “He is still very, very young, but he’s a clever, smart, cheeky player. He’s not afraid to go one-v-one or two-v-two. It’s only a matter of time before Troy scores, in my opinion.”
This is a reminder that Parrott is still very raw.
This time last year, Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho was facing criticism from fans for not playing the teenager as Harry Kane’s replacement after the Lilywhites marksman suffered a hamstring injury.
But this is a big reminder that he still isn’t anywhere near ready but, as Holy points, he’s still very young.
