One year ago Tottenham Hotspur were being heavily linked with a move for Huddersfield Town talent Philip Billing. The Huddersfield Daily Examiner reported that Spurs were keen on signing the player, who had been impressing in the Championship with the Terriers.

The 6ft 5in Dane had been showcasing his fine form in the Championship ever since making his breakthrough with Huddersfield and Tottenham were right to take an interest.

One year on however and the now 20-year-old Billing remains at Huddersfield. So should Tottenham be considering reigniting their interest this summer?

The Dane has improved even more this season, playing 20 times in the Championship as Huddersfield push for promotion to the Premier League.

He is undoubtedly a player that fits the bill for Tottenham Hotspur and if they were to sign him the hope would be he can follow in the footsteps of a certain Dele Alli.

However, so far the Dane has not proven himself enough. He is not yet starting regularly enough to warrant a move to a Premier League club and Spurs would be wise to monitor his development further, before making any bid.
