Should Tottenham go back in for Everton’s Kevin Mirallas, or is he no longer needed?

Back in 2015 Everton winger Kevin Mirallas ‘ended’ speculation over a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur by penning a three-year deal with the club, The Independent reported.
Yet heading into this summer the Belgian international has only one year left of that deal, and could face an uncertain future.
He has played 90 minutes only twice for Everton this season, and while he has made 15 starts, Ronald Koeman has not trusted him to close out matches.
Mirallas now might be the type of experienced player Tottenham are missing in their squad, and could be a useful addition if they could sign him at a knock down price.
The 29-year-old would not take long to settle due to his Premier League experience, and friendship with Tottenham’s Belgian contingent of Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele.
With three goals to his name in the league, Mirallas could play a similar role to the one previously played by another Belgian, Nacer Chadli, whose presence as an impactful squad player has been missed.

Spurs have swung and missed on young wingers Clinton N’Jie and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, and could need to take a pragmatic approach this summer, especially faced with the daunting task of playing their games at Wembley next season.
Bringing in a player who could handle that task like Mirallas could be a shrewd move.
He showed with a goal and assist against Manchester City last month that he is capable of contributing in big games, and going back in for him should be a viable and reasonably priced option.
