The Azerbaijan talent is struggling to succeed at Bursaspor.

One year ago Everton were being linked with the signature of talented attacking midfielder Ozancan Kokcu. Tottenham Hotspur were also keen on the player.
The Daily Mail reported that the then 18-year-old was a primary summer target for both Ronald Koeman and Mauricio Pochettino with his contract running down at Eredivisie side Feyenoord.
The Dutch-born Azerbaijan youth international was seemingly a top target for both Tottenham and Everton who felt he would improve their youth ranks.
However, he disappointed both Everton and Spurs when he agreed to join Bursaspor that March. He joined the Turkish side in the summer as he hoped to thrive in the Super Lig and leave Everton and Spurs wandering what they miss.
But that is not what has transpired for the youngster.
Kokcu instead has struggled in Turkey. He finally made his debut for the club in October but has not featured in the first-team in a league game yet and Bursaspor have sent him out on loan. The 19-year-old was sent out on loan to Dutch second tier side RKC Waalwijk to play regular first-team football.
Everton and Spurs will not be looking at his progress since missing out on his services and thinking they missed out. Kokcu will need to perform a lot better before he makes that happen.
