The Malta international has the chance to be a real success at Ibrox under Graeme Murty.
Patrick Roberts of Celtic takes on Myles Beerman of Rangers
One year ago today Rangers’ under-20 side took on Hibernian in the SPFL Development League. Under the management of the now current Rangers head coach Graeme Murty they won the game 2-1 with no doubt who to thank for the victory.
The player who stole the show was left-sided player Myles Beerman. The wing-back put in a brilliant performance and scored a goal that would be the envy of many a top footballer.
He picked up the ball on the halfway line before jinking past four Hibs defenders and smashing home the winning goal.
So one year on, does Beerman have a chance at Rangers long-term?

He has certainly come on since this performance. He made his Rangers debut in April and has since gone on to play eight games for the club. Last June, he made his debut for the Malta national team aged just 18 – so it has been a good 12 months since the goal in question.
However, the arrival of Declan John from Cardiff City has blocked his pathway slightly. He has not featured for the first-team at all this season and was therefore loaned out to Queen of the South last month.
Rangers manager Graeme Murty
Beerman is undoubtedly a very talented player and one who has the flexibility to play in a number of positions. He has performed well during his spell at QOTS so far and it looks as though he does have a future in the first-team at Rangers, especially if Murty hangs around as permanent boss.
Malta’s answer to Gareth Bale might have a chance of making it at Ibrox.
