Glasgow Rangers signed Russell Martin one year ago today.

It is one year ago today that Rangers signed centre-back Russell Martin, BBC Sport reported.
Martin arrived at Ibrox with high hopes, aiming to resurrect his career with Rangers after falling out of favour at Norwich.
A lack of football with the Canaries caught up with him, and Martin was exposed at Rangers as no longer having what it takes to be effective in the big games.
His cup semi-final performance as Rangers were stuffed by Celtic effectively sealed his fate.
Rangers chose not to sign Martin, and he was released by Norwich City.
He is now at his second club since.

Martin signed with MK Dons last night, joining on a free transfer.
He had requested his release from Walsall days earlier due to family reasons, BBC Sport reported.
Martin has in effect dropped down a division from League One, and now finds himself in England’s fourth tier League Two, 12 months on from signing in Scotland’s first division.
MK Dons are third in League Two, pushing for promotion. Their positive momentum might help Martin’s career get back on track.
