Some Leeds United fans on social media are far from happy after it was reported that they’ll be without Raphinha against Liverpool.
The Brazilian is one of a number of Premier League players who won’t be able to play this weekend due to FIFA’s sanctions on players who weren’t released for international duty, meaning that any players who were due to play for Brazil will be banned for five days.
As you can imagine, United supporters aren’t best pleased with this news, and we can absolutely understand why.
Raphinha hasn’t done anything wrong. He turned down the chance to play for his country for the first time in order to comply with the Premier League’s wishes, and now he’s been ruled out of one of the biggest games of the season against Liverpool.
Leeds will of course feel the impact of Raphinha’s absence. After all, he’s one of their best players, and against Liverpool, they’ll need all of the help they can get, especially going forward.
