Since Djed Spence arrived at Tottenham from Middlesbrough in a £12.5m deal back in July, Antonio Conte has barely used him.
The England Under-21 international has been given just one minute of Premier League football as Emerson Royal is preferred in the right wing-back role.
Now, however, Spence may selfishly be feeling quite pleased after the Brazilian endured a nightmare in the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal earlier today.

As a result of his studs-up challenge on Gabriel Jesus, Emerson Royal will now miss the next three Premier League outings for Spurs, which are clashes with Brighton, Everton and Manchester United.
Conte has Matt Doherty as an alternative option at right wing-back, although the Republic of Ireland international must be managed carefully having only just returned to full fitness after a disrupted pre-season.
Therefore, it could be time for Spence to shine at Tottenham.
The 22-year-old certainly has the talent to make a name for himself in north London, earning a place in the Championship Team of the Season after scoring three goals and providing five assists in 50 games last term.
Spence even helped Nottingham Forest achieve promotion as a result of his stunning efforts.

If Conte still doesn’t give Spence some action after Emerson Royal’s red card, the youngster may become disillusioned with life at Tottenham.
In truth, the Tottenham No.24 deserved a chance while Doherty was out injured, as Emerson has been far from reliable for Spurs this season.
The 23-year-old offers very little going forward with just one assist in ten appearances this season, while he is also a huge liability from a defensive aspect.
We aren’t quite sure what Conte sees in the South American, and if his average performances continue to keep Spence out of the first-team, we certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see the £12.5m man leave N17 soon.
