Fabrizio Romano has written in his email newsletter (7:25am, October 9, 2022) that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma is working very hard to impress head coach Antonio Conte in training.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Bissouma was not fully ready for Conte’s methods when he moved to Tottenham from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
Romano has said that he has been told that the Mali international midfielder is working hard to improve and impress Conte in training.
The Italian journalist has added that the Tottenham coaching staff are happy with the progress that the 26-year-old is making.

Fabrizio Romano on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma
Romano wrote about Bissouma: “The truth is, Bissouma was probably not 100% ready for Conte’s ideas, but I’m told the player is working hard to improve and the staff are happy with his progress. It’s still early days, so Spurs fans should be patient and judge him over the course of the season.”
Staying positive
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur fans should stay positive about Yves Bissouma.
The midfielder did well against Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Conte is very tactical and demands a lot from his players, so it does not come as a surprise to us see that that Bissouma is still trying his best to get used to the Italian manager’s system.
We believe that Bissouma will eventually get to the standards that Conte wants from him.
