According to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs in TEAMtalk, Wolverhampton Wanderers could make a bid for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire as a potential replacement for Max Kilman, who has been linked with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur.
Jacobs has said that Wolves could show interest in Manchester United and England international centre-back Maguire at the end of the season.
The £200,000-a-week (SalarySport) defender has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford under manager Erik ten Hag.
CaughtOffSide reported earlier this week that Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in signing centre-back Kilman from Wolves in the summer transfer window.
Wolverhampton Wanderers linked with Manchester United defender Harry Maguire
Jacobs said: “And I think Wolves could be one to watch as well even though they tend to buy a little bit younger. And the reason for that is because Max Kilman is going to be in demand over the summer period.
“More generally, I think that Wolves could be looking for right-sided and left-sided centre-back. So they could be one to watch for Maguire.”

Exit likely
In our view, it is very likely that Harry Maguire will leave Manchester United at the end of the season, and Wolverhampton Wanderers would be a good destination for him.
Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are much better centre-backs than Maguire, who has failed to be a huge success at Old Trafford.
Wolves may be struggling this season, but they are a big and established club in the Premier League.
United could be tempted to cash in on Maguire for a decent transfer fee in the summer of 2023.
