The big centre-back would be a fantastic addition by Everton this summer.

A former Everton target could well be on the move this summer.
Calciomercato reported three years ago that Everton wanted to sign Kalidou Koulibaly as a long-term replacement for John Stones, who had joined Manchester City.
The 27-year-old has continued to impress with Napoli, and coach Carlo Ancelotti said this past weekend that he wouldn’t stand in the player’s way if he wanted out.
Ancelotti said to The Mirror: “We don’t need to sell our best players. We can sign new players following our ideas. However, I am not going to block who wants to leave, I’ve never done it in my career.”
A number of Europe’s top clubs could be interested in the 6’5 centre-back but Everton should try again. The Toffees’ owner Farhad Moshiri confirmed in 2016 that he tried to sign the £60 million-rated machine [talkSPORT, November 7] but the asking price was too steep.
But Koulibaly won’t be anywhere near as expensive now by virtue of the fact that he turns 28 in June and therefore doesn’t have as many peak years left in the tank.
Does Marco Silva need another centre-back? It’s not a priority but a centre-back pairing of Koulibaly and Yerry Mina is a very attractive one on paper.
Everton’s 4-0 win over Manchester United last week illustrated that Silva’s side could be a serious problem for other teams next season if the summer recruitment is done right.
And Koulibaly would be a very, very good first step.
