One-time Arsenal star, Mesut Ozil, has claimed on Instagram that life is full of ‘uncertainties’ after he had his contract terminated at Fenerbahce.
On Wednesday, the 33-year-old thanked Fenerbahce for allowing him to live his childhood dream, after his time at the Turkish giants was cut short.
Ozil didn’t waste any time in finding a new home, with the German international staying put in Turkey and joining İstanbul Basaksehir.

Two years on from his axe at Arsenal, after he seemingly fell out with Mikel Arteta, the same scenario had reared its ugly head for the former World Cup winner.
Despite having two years left on his current deal with Fenerbahce, it seems as though a falling out with then-coach Ismail Kartal towards the end of last season started his road to having his contract terminated, as reported by GOAL.
This was the message Ozil posted to fans after his time at his boyhood club came to an end.
MIKEL ARTETA PROVEN RIGHT
Whilst Ozil wasn’t playing in one of the top leagues in the world, he was still competing at a significant level with Fenerbahce and he could have proven a thing or two.
Mainly to those back in north London, who during a time of need for Arsenal, left him out of their Premier League squad altogether, suffered on the pitch as a club, still refused to pick him and then let him go in January.
Rather than prove those doubters wrong, Ozil has just proven someone like Arteta right that he was correct to boot him out of the door.
Whilst Arsenal haven’t returned to the Champions League since then, they now have the likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli thriving in the attacking department.
