Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly lining up targets for 2018.
According to West London Sport, Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign Lille midfielder Yves Bissouma in 2018.
Spurs are searching for Mousa Dembele’s heir in the heart of midfield, and whilst a host of midifelders have been linked with the club, it seems that Tottenham are now looking at Bissouma.
The 21-year-old Mali international has shown promise with Lille, and Spurs now appear to be joining the race for his signature ahead of the January transfer window.
Calcio Mercato recently reported that Inter Milan and Spurs’ Premier League rivals Watford are also keen on Bissouma, meaning Tottenham may well be positioning themselves to frustrate the Hornets twice in 2018.
The London Evening Standard recently claimed that Tottenham are keen to sign Watford sensation Richarlison, who has hit five goals and four assists in just 17 Premier League games since a summer move from Fluminense.
With Joshua Onomah or Georges-Kevin Nkoudou potentially on offer in that bid, Tottenham may well be hoping to prise Richarlison away from Vicarage Road come the end of the season.
Adding Bissouma and Richarlison would beef up the Spurs squad with more young talent and athleticism, whilst both raiding and hijacking Watford would leave their Premier League rivals frustrated.
Competing with Spurs for transfer targets – and attempting to fend off interest from them in current Hornets stars – is a sign of Watford’s progression under Marco Silva, but Spurs may feel confident that they can overpower the Hornets for both players in 2018.
