Speaking on the Official Leeds United Podcast, Kalvin Phillips has been chatting about Victor Orta and how much he loves the club.

The Spaniard is one of the most eccentric Directors of Football you’re likely to ever see, and while his transfer business is sometimes questionable, one thing that can’t be questioned is his love for the club.

Indeed, Phillips says that Orta is one of the most passionate people you’ll ever meet at Elland Road.

What’s been said?

Phillips was full of praise for the higher-ups at Leeds.

“They have the right people in charge, with Angus Kinnear in charge and especially Victor. I think Victor is one of the most passionate people you’ll meet about Leeds United,” Phillips said.

“I love it, he’s so passionate, it’s nice to see someone come from another team ad want to do so well with the club and get him back to where Leeds belong. He’s one of the main people that has always wanted Leeds to do well since he’s been in the job, and without him we would have struggled a lot more.”

So passionate

Phillips is absolutely right about Orta, he’s got an incredible passion.

The Spaniard was in tears when Leeds beat Norwich last week, while he’s also previously smashed a TV monitor because he disagreed with a refereeing decision and during the Take Me Home: Leeds United, documentary, he was driven to tears after failing to sign Dan James on deadline day.

Orta is certainly someone who loves this football club.
