Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has claimed that he saw Bukayo Saka looking frustrated in an Arsenal shirt for one of the first times at the weekend.
The youngster usually plays with a smile on his face and he generally plays like you’d expect an excited teenager to, but Wright says that he was looking annoyed against Sheffield United.
The Match of the Day pundit said that he looked frustrated with the fact he wasn’t getting the ball in the right areas and that his face showed exactly how he was feeling.
“I put Bukayo Saka in there because I love him. I feel for him, because of the weight. I watched him again the other day and it’s one of the first times I saw frustration with people not giving him the ball where he needed the ball, his face was a bit contorted and that’s what Arsenal have got to be careful of now,” Wright said.
“I put him in there as a young player because of his emergence and what he’s done and the weight of the club he’s carrying. I hope things can change for him soon and something can happen at Arsenal where I feel a bit more confident.”

This is certainly an interesting observation.
The fact that Saka looked annoyed during a game that Arsenal won 3-0 can be taken in a number of ways.
You could see it as a good thing in that the player wants to influence the game as much as possible even when his team is dominant, or you could see it as Saka having a bit of attitude and getting above his station.
Wright is correct about Arsenal needing to be careful with this situation, as the last thing they want is Saka growing frustrated at the club.
