John Terry has stated on his Instagram story that Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka is ‘one of the brightest and biggest talents’.
The Aston Villa coach also praised Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford and his soon-to-be club teammate, Jadon Sancho.
This comes after the trio saw their penalties saved as England suffered shootout heartache at Euro 2020 on Sunday.
Then they were racially abused on social media platforms, with their national teammate, Tyrone Mings, slamming the Health Secretary, Priti Patel on Twitter for ‘pretending to be disgusted’ by the matter.
Nonetheless, at the age of 19, it was the Arsenal teenager who stepped up to take the most crucial of spot-kicks for his country.
And whilst it ended in such gut-wrenching fashion, it showed courage and bravery from the Hale-End academy star.
Nonetheless, this is what Terry posted on his Instagram story on Tuesday afternoon:
“Shocking and disgusting what these three men have had to go through,” said Terry.
“@MarcusRashford. A man who fed the people of our country when the Government failed to.
“@BukayoSaka87, At 19-years-old, he set the Euros alight with his performances. And one of our brightest and biggest talents.
“@Sanchooo10, who is also the future of England and is an absolute superstar. We stand with you all boys @England. You and all the England squad are heroes and given us all hope.”

The footballing world is at the feet of all three of those England players and their teammates.
Not since 1966 has an English side reached the final of a major tournament – and whilst penalty heartache was suffered once again – this team hasn’t even peaked yet.
From the above three players, the eldest is Rashford, who is 23, and he’s probably five or so years away from hitting his peak.
That just goes to show the level of talent England have at their disposal and where these players are at.
