Chelsea right-back Reece James has raved about reported Arsenal target Raheem Sterling in The Liverpool Echo.
James has said that Manchester City star Sterling, linked with Arsenal, is one of the best wingers in the world.
The Champions League winner with Chelsea has added that along with Liverpool forward Sadio Mane, the 26-year-old is the toughest player he has played against.
Arsenal rumour
The Daily Mail reported last month that City are open to selling Sterling, and that Arsenal technical director Edu wants to sign the former Liverpool attacking midfielder.
The Athletic has claimed that Sterling, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, wants to leave City.
What’s been said
James told The Liverpool Echo: “Everyone knows how good a player Raheem Sterling is. It’s very hard playing against him.
“He’s probably one of the best wingers in the world at this moment in time and we’re going to need him for this tournament.
“Raheem Sterling is definitely up there (as the toughest) and I’d probably say (Sadio) Mane as well.”

Raheem Sterling would be tremendous for Arsenal
Sterling is one of the best attacking players in the world.
James’s comments about the winger underline just how highly he is rated by fellow professional footballers.
You could argue whether Sterling would be tempted by a move to Arsenal.
Or if the Gunners would be able to finance the move.
What you would not be able to argue against is the impact that Sterling would make on the Gunners.
Sterling still has not hit his peak yet. There is more to come from him.
The England international scores goals and creates chances for his teammates.
The 26-year-old also has pace.
