Dan James heaped praise on Tottenham and West Ham duo Joe Rodon and Tomas Soucek after Wales beat the Czech Republic on Tuesday night.
The Manchester United winger told Sky Sports that West Ham’s goalscoring machine is ‘one of the best attacking headers of the ball’ he has seen and Wales need to give ‘so much credit’ to Rodon for his match-saving block at the end of yesterday’s game.
With Wales leading the World Cup qualifier 1-0 heading into stoppage-time, Rodon blocked a shot from point-blank range to prevent the Czech’s from scoring and rescuing a point for themselves.
After recently scoring a hat-trick for his country, the already in-form, Soucek, was ready to pin down more opponents.
James, who scored the only goal of the game yesterday, understood the difficult threat coming from West Ham’s set-piece king, as he also praised Rodon for his last-ditch heroics.
“I think it was tough because they have got some great attacking headers of the ball,” said James.
“I think Soucek is one of the best attacking headers of the ball I have seen, anyway.
“I give so much credit to Joe Rodon for that block at the end. Just as much as I get the goal, it’s a goal for him as well.”

Both Tottenham and West Ham supporters will be pretty pleased because their players return to action injury-free and in-form.
Everyone already knew Soucek’s threats in the final third. He has just taken it to another level over the international break.
As for Rodon, he has perhaps proved why Tottenham splashed the cash on him in the summer because he is someone on the rise.
