Filipe Jota has lauded Kyogo Furuhashi for his ‘unbelievable’ movement and believes the pair are growing game by game at Celtic since their summer transfers, via The Scottish Sun.
Jota joined on loan from Benfica late in the widow, while the Bhoys signed Furuhashi from Vissel Kobe for £4.5m. Both have proven instrumental members of Ange Postecoglou’s first Hoops side, with consistent contributions for the Premiership outfit so far.
Furuhashi and Jota also combined for their first goal together as Celtic beat Ferencvaros in the Europa League on Tuesday. The latter playing a majestic long ball over the Green Eagles for Furuhashi to run through and score.

Jota full of praise for Celtic teammate Furuhashi
Jota says Furuhashi’s movement to get in behind Ferencvaros encouraged the winger to lift the ball through as Celtic attacked. Adding praise for the Japan international’s work out of possession, in a partnership still finding its feet at Parkhead. Sharing:
“I’m starting to get to know Kyogo and his movements are unbelievable. He really can move, he’s one of the best players I’ve seen doing movements. On Tuesday I saw his move and I wanted to do the pass. It was good because he took the ball really well and scored.
“Unfortunately, Kyogo doesn’t speak English at the moment, so it’s been quite difficult to speak with him. Actually it’s funny, because I said to Kyogo if he didn’t learn English then it’s no worries to me because I will try to learn some Japanese so we can talk.
“I will definitely go to learn some Japanese to speak with him, but I think the most important thing is inside the pitch we are starting to get to know each other. Game after game, we are going to get better.”

Postecoglou signings to find next gear after Ferencvaros connection?
Postecoglou will hope his summer signings, Jota and Furuhashi, can now find another gear to their partnership at Celtic. They have only played four times in green-and-white together since arriving in Glasgow, split between the Premiership and Europa League.
Furuhashi has made 13 appearances for Celtic across all competitions, while also scoring nine goals so far. But impressing just as much with his movement. While Jota’s assist on Tuesday took the 22-year-old to four, plus three goals, in nine Bhoys appearances to date.
Two of Jota’s goals and two assists have also come in October alone, after scoring against Aberdeen and Motherwell. Celtic have won on each occasion the Portuguese has found the back of the net, and only lost to Real Betis with Jota involved in the scoring in some way.
