Carlo Ancelotti has praised the performance of Joshua King for Everton against Fulham last night to BBC Sport.
King came on for Everton early on in the second half last night, as they looked for a route back into the game.
The Norwegian did actually put the ball in the back of the net, but was deemed to be offside.
And although Everton went on to lose the game 2-0 after King was introduced, the January signing still did enough to earn praise from his manager.
“Josh King did his job,” Ancelotti said. “He’s adapting to the squad well. The game he played, he played well. He was one of the best.”
Ancelotti’s decision not to start with an out and out forward certainly backfired last night, and King must now be in with a chance of starting on Wednesday.

Everton are due to face Manchester City in midweek, and there is some hope that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will return.
However, if the striker isn’t fit, then King may well make his first start for the Toffees in two days’ time.
Everton’s defeat to Fulham last night was a blow to their top four chances, but a win against City would put them right back in contention.
