Last night, Bukayo Saka and Ian Wright were in attendance at the 2022 Brit Awards, where the Arsenal forward was praised by the Gunners legend.
What’s the story?
Well, the pair found themselves on stage as they presented the Brit Awards for hip hop, rap and grime, which was won by Dave.
When introducing himself to the audience, Wright referred to Saka as “one of his heroes” in what was a heartwarming moment between the pair.
The 58-year-old said: “Pleased to be here, with everything that we’ve been through and seeing everyone have such a good time, and standing here with one of my heroes.”
You can see footage of the moment below.
Wright comes across as a father figure to Saka, and you can see how much the 20-year-old admires the Gunners legend as he breaks into a big smile after the comment.
The fact Saka was on stage at the Brit Awards also says a lot about his rising stature, not only in football but in the world of show business.
Brit Awards 2022 show Arsenal’s status

It speaks volumes that Arsenal had two icons of their club – both past and present – on stage at an event as big as the Brit Awards.
Artists such as Adele were in attendance as Wright and Saka did their thing, which just goes to show how influential Arsenal are on the London community.
For Saka himself, he is quickly becoming a household name despite still being in the infancy of his career.

Should he continue on this trajectory, and the Gunners get back into the Champions League, there is genuinely no reason why he can’t soon find himself on the Ballon d’Or shortlist.
Make no mistake about it, there is plenty to be excited about at the Emirates Stadium right now, with so many potential superstars in the squad.
