Whilst Tottenham struggle to maintain a centre-back partnership this season, one of their own is thriving in the Championship with Bournemouth.

Cameron Carter-Vickers, who has struggled to break through the ranks at Tottenham, helped Bournemouth record a 4-1 win against Coventry on Saturday.

The 23-year-old is still on Tottenham’s books, but that may all come to an end in June when his contract expires.

But whilst he potentially exits one door in the Premier League, he might just enter another way with Bournemouth if they snap him up and earn promotion back to the promised land.

And he may just do it with a popular Tottenham figure in Jonathan Woodgate.

The former Real Madrid man was handed the reigns at Dean Court until the end of the season following the sacking of Jason Tindall.

And with a man of Woodgate’s experience and calibre, it’s no surprise that Bournemouth’s defenders are now thriving after a sticky start.
