The Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors have developed a rivalry in the modern era.

The seeds for this rivalry were planted during the Boston Celtics’ heart-crushing defeat at the hands of the Golden State Warriors during the 2022 NBA Finals.

Since then, whenever the two sides face off against each other, there is some animosity in the air.

Speaking of which, the Celtics’ new owner, Bill Chisholm, only added fuel to the fire in the rivalry with his recent comments.

Bill Chisholm admits to hating the Golden State Warriors

Chisholm made headlines when he purchased the Celtics for then-record $6.1 billion. Many questioned if it was the right decision.

Well, Chisholm showed his loyalty and love for the Celtics during an appearance on the White Noise podcast by taking a shot at the Warriors.

“I don’t like the Warriors, but the Warriors, for people that live there, great, and they’ve been very successful,” Chisholm began.

He added: “But people go to the game, they go home, and they have their dinner, and the Warriors win, lose, that’s fine. You got other things, you go to the beach, do whatever, go up to Tahoe.”

In simple terms, Chisholm took a shot at Warriors fans for not caring much about their team’s results in the NBA.

Boston Celtics fans getting ‘depressed’ is the reason why they are superior, says Bill Chisholm

After taking a major shot at the Warriors Nation, Chisholm explained what makes the C’s fanbase different.

The new Celtics owner surprisingly made a ‘depressed’ statement to prove the superiority of the team’s fanbase.

“Celtics lose, and people are like depressed. On Friday, I was like, ‘I just can’t wait for Sunday now, because that was tough.’ And, like, people, it’s different. People really internalize it here,” he claimed.

The Celtics do have a passionate fanbase, and it seems that their new owner is as attached to the game of basketball as they are.
