The Hibs striker has been in prolific form this season – and Wolves should make room for him in their squad.

It doesn’t take a genius, or a well-paid manager, to realise where Wolves need to strengthen this summer.
Their Championship goals tally of 47 may be among the highest in the bottom half but, with strikers Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, Joe Mason, Nouha Dicko and Paul Gladon contributing a grand total of six between them all season, Paul Lambert will surely be in the market for a striker.
And they could do worse than to renew their interest in a young, promising forward who is hardly suffering from the same profligate streak that has afflicted the Wolves frontmen.
According to the Express and Star, the Midlands club were interested in swooping for Hibernian’s self-assured goal-machine Jason Cummings last summer with a £1 million bid in the pipeline.
However, although The Herald claim that Sunderland have now moved to the front of the queue with David Moyes travelling to Tannadyce to watch Cummings net the winner at Dundee United, Wolves have maybe benefitted from their initial interest coming to nothing.

Netting 16 goals in 26 Scottish Championship games, the 21-year-old is on track to beat last season’s tally. And the fact his value has now reportedly doubled will not concern Wolves’ Chinese owners. If they can bid £20 million for Anderson Talisca, according to The Sun, they can spare £2 million for Cummings.
And although Bodvarsson has proven popular among fans for his driving runs and Icelandic thunderclap celebration, the summer signing’s tally of two goals in 33 Championship games is nowhere near good enough for a side with ambitions of the Premier League.

To make room for Cummings, Lambert could start by shifting the former Kaiserslautern frontman.
