Newcastle United were the team that everyone was looking at from the beginning of the transfer window as they entered their first post-takeover summer market.
The Magpies haven’t disappointed so far. They’ve broken their transfer record this week, they’ve signed one of the most promising defenders in Europe and they’ve picked up an England international goalkeeper.
However, despite Newcastle’s fantastic window so far, there’s a feeling that they may not be done yet.
Indeed, after pursuing the likes of James Maddison and Lucas Paqueta earlier this summer, it’s fair to say that the Magpies could still be in the market for a new midfielder.
With that in mind, we’re going to have a go at predicting Newcastle’s post-Deadline Day XI.

We think that Eddie Howe will land his creative midfielder as a move for Youri Tielemans could open up in the final hours of the window.
Newcastle have clearly scouted Leicester – with links to both Harvey Barnes and James Maddison being persistent, and it was reported within the past 24 hours that Newcastle will move for Tielemans if he becomes available.
Well, with the Belgian entering the final year of his contract and Fabrizio Romano stating back in February that he would 100 per cent leave Leicester this summer, that chance could arise, and thus, he makes our predicted XI.
There is also likely to be a departure at St James’ Park before the window closes as Martin Dubravka closes in on a move to Manchester United.
This isn’t likely to be the busiest of Deadline Days from Newcastle, but, as with any Deadline Day, there could be a surprise or two sprung here.
