Leeds United have had a fantastic start to the season. The Whites have lost just four times so far and have picked up points against Manchester City and Arsenal in their first nine Premier League games.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been the league’s best entertainers. The likes of of Patrick Bamford, Kalvin Phillips, Luke Ayling and Stuart Dallas among others have earned a ton of plaudits, while their summer signings are also settling in nicely.

One player who has gone under the radar is Jack Harrison. The winger has been at Leeds on loan from Manchester City since the summer of 2018. He had a difficult debut campaign in the Championship, but was impressive under Bielsa last season.

The 24-year-old hasn’t quite taken the Premier League by storm this term. He has scored just once and has picked up a couple of assists in eight starts, but he is outperforming some of the division’s best players in one key attacking stat.

Harrison boasts of 21 key passes in the Premier League this term. Only Bruno Fernandes (26) and Kevin de Bruyne (23) have completed more, and the pair are arguably the two best creators in the English top-flight.

Jack Grealish and Mo Salah have also completed 21 key passes but the Aston Villa and Liverpool stars have played 18 minutes more than Harrison.

Premier League’s new assist king Harry Kane comes sixth with 19, while Son Heung-min and Everton’s marquee summer signing James Rodriguez have completed 18 so far this season.

Harrison’s numbers really are impressive. The Englishman has been highly-rated for a while now, but he is beginning to show his quality at the top level. Leeds’ attacking style suits him perfectly and under Bielsa, he will only improve.

The 24-year-old’s contract at Manchester City ends in the summer of 2022. The Whites would love to sign him on a permanent deal, but if he continues to impress at Leeds, Pep Guardiola might choose to keep him at the Etihad next term.
