We take a close look at Manchester United’s Premier League matches against Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Swansea City.
Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur
Manchester United may be at home for this game, but in Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday they will face a very tough test.
The Red Devils have made some superb signings, all of whom will be keen to show the fans what they are capable of.
Spurs have top-four ambitions and will head to Old Trafford determined to kick off their 2015-16 Premier League campaign with a win.
This promises to be a very exciting game and should have at least two goals. Louis van Gaal’s side should eke out a victory in the end.
Prediction: 3-2
Aston Villa v Manchester United
On paper, United should win this game pretty comfortably, but Aston Villa at home under manager Tim Sherwood are a confident side.
Last season, United did not always play well away from home but they got results, and against the Villans it could be a similar story.
Prediction: 1-3
Manchester United v Newcastle United
Newcastle United are looking to break into the top 10 of the Premier League this season and will head to Old Trafford with confidence.
However, Van Gaal’s team are a much superior side and should be able to collect all three points from this game with ease.
Prediction: 2-0
Swansea City v Manchester United
Swansea City are strong at the Liberty Stadium, and Garry Monk’s side will be keen on raising their game against United.
The Swans do have the potential to win against United, but the Red Devils will end up picking up at least a point from this encounter.
Prediction: 2-2
