We take a close look at Leeds United’s Championship games against Burnley, Reading, Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County.
Leeds United v Burnley
This will be a tough test for Leeds, as Burnley will be looking to make a strong start to the 2015-16 Championship campaign.
The Clarets got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, and they will be determined to finish in the top two of the Championship this term and bounce straight back up.
However, the Whites should be considered favourites to win this game, as they are at home and have done quite well in pre-season.
Prediction: 2-1
Reading v Leeds United
On paper, Leeds should win, but Uwe Rosler’s side should not become complacent as Reading can be tough to beat on their own turf.
One should not be surprised if this game ends in a draw, although the West Yorkshire outfit have enough quality to eke out a narrow victory.
Prediction: 0-1
Bristol City v Leeds United
Bristol City got promoted to the Championship from League One at the end of last season, and Leeds should be confident of winning against them.
City will be among the teams expected to fight for survival in the second tier of English football this season, which means that the Whites should win against them away from home at the Ashton Gate Stadium with ease.
Prediction: 0-2
Leeds United v Sheffield Wednesday
This game promises to be a cracker, and one that could have a number of goals in it.
Sheffield Wednesday have a strong squad, and they will be confident of at least picking up a point at Elland Road.
Prediction: 2-2
Derby County v Leeds United
Leeds have a very good squad and will be looking to pick up maximum points from their game at the iPro Stadium.
The West Yorkshire outfit will be aiming for a top-six finish in the Championship, and to accomplish that, they need to show that they can take points off teams such as Derby.
A narrow win for Leeds could be the final result in this game.
Prediction: 0-1
