Rangers’ odds of luring Jermain Defoe to Ibrox have been cut.

Rangers ended their season this afternoon with a bizarre 5-5 draw away at Hibernian, and the work on a huge summer transfer window begins.
With European qualification secured, Rangers can look forward to bringing in new faces, with both Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield expected to sign pre-contract agreements.
New manager Steven Gerrard has also been confirmed, and will be looking to lure some big-name additions to Ibrox in order to boost his squad.
Some of Gerrard’s former Liverpool and England teammates have been touted for moves to Ibrox, and odds have been slashed on one of them making the move to Glasgow.

Paddy Power have cut Bournemouth striker Jermain Defoe from 7/1 to just 12/5 to make a summer move to Rangers, having endured a frustrating season on the South Coast.
The 35-year-old hit 37 goals in 93 games for Sunderland before re-signing for former club Bournemouth on a free transfer last summer, in a move which seemed to be ideal.
Defoe has started just 11 Premier League games though, scoring only four goals, and whilst his wages could be a problem, Rangers would be able to offer him first-team football and a reunion with ex-England teammate Gerrard this summer.
