A year ago today the Cameroonian went under the knife.
It is perhaps a year ago to the day that the debut season of Clinton N’Jie at Tottenham Hotspur began to unravel.
Spurs snapped up the Cameroonian international from Lyon last summer and the wide man was expected to have a big impact at the club.
Unfortunately, that was not the case. N’Jie struggled to get a grip on his Spurs career and a year ago to the day he underwent knee surgery, which did not help his cause.

The 23-year-old was ruled out for most of the season, only playing one more time for Spurs in the 2-1 defeat against Southampton in May.
This summer he was sent out on loan to Marseille as part of the deal that saw Georges-Kevin N’Koudou head in the other direction.

He has been struggling to settle in at Marseille as well, but has at least managed to score two goals in his 12 appearances for the club.
When Spurs signed N’Jie he was regarded as a bright prospect for the future, but it has quickly become apparent he might not be up to scratch for the Premier League.
