Darren Bent told talkSPORT that Mo Salah is ‘on the decline’ at Liverpool and he’s ‘not happy’ at the club.

There has been a lot of talk about Salah’s future in recent weeks, with Sky Sports reporting about the rumours of the Liverpool speedster being ‘unhappy’.

It also added that the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid potentially want to sign him from the Anfield giants.

Former Premier League hitman Bent shared his controversial thoughts on Salah at Liverpool and the performances he has been putting in.

“At the minute, his body language tells me that he’s not happy being there,” said Bent. “Regardless of what he comes out and says.

“Since he came out with the Real Madrid stuff, he’s not got the same kind of fire and the determination that he once showed.

“Even if you look at some of his stats. He still gets an awful lot of goals. But he has been on the decline for the last few seasons. He scored a lot of goals that season when he broke pretty much every record.

“Then he 20 after that, then 19 and he’s the top goalscorer in the league now. In terms of goalscoring, he’s been brilliant. But his all-round performance has been poor for a little while now. He gives the ball away. He’s trying too much. Even a simple five-yard pass, he gets that wrong.”

If Salah is on the decline when he is currently the top goalscorer in the Premier League then it begs the question where everyone else is at?

The left-footed magician, who moved to Liverpool from Roma in 2017 for £34 million [BBC Sport], has produced a number of frightening performances this season

The Reds may have hit a brick wall in recent weeks, but even then they are still the top goalscorers in the league.
