Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after they were linked with a summer move for Franck Kessie on a free transfer.
The summer transfer window has only just closed, but the rumour mill is very much still up and running.
The Ivorian is out of contract at AC Milan next summer, and Spurs are eyeing up a swoop for the midfielder.
He’s certainly a player Fabio Paratici will know very well from his days in Serie A, while his agent has previously spoken about Spurs’ interest.
A free transfer move for a player of this calibre could be an absolute masterstroke, but of course, it’s dependant on a number of things.
First of all, Spurs need to hope Kessie doesn’t sign a new deal at San Siro, while they also have the tough task of beating out any other club that may show an interest in Kessie.
As you can imagine, this rumour sparked a bit of a reaction on social media, and it’s fair to say some fans are excited.
Inevitably, some supporters were a little bit annoyed due to the fact they haven’t signed him this summer, but if he’s available on a free next year, we can understand that decision.
