Aston Villa fans have reacted to the rumours that they are interested in signing Cheick Doucoure.
The Midlands side may have lost star man Jack Grealish this summer, but it’s not stopping those in the Villa Park boardroom from making more moves in the market.
It has been suggested that Villa could bulk up the defensive side of their midfield and they opened talks to sign Lens midfielder, Doucoure, according to Goal.
Dean Smith has a number of midfield options to choose from, including John McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Marvelous Nakamba, Conor Hourihane and Morgan Sanson.
But it seems as though another name could be added to that list and Villa fans are all for it.
McGinn and Luiz have been the regulars in those number eight roles for Villa, with Nakamba ending last season in a strong fashion after earning some game time.
But Villa supporters seemingly want more options in that area ahead of the new Premier League season.
Premier League newcomers Watford will be first up for Villa and it will be interesting to see how this Grealish-less team performs.
