Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter are reacting to what Fabio Paratici publicly revealed on Wednesday afternoon.
The Italian became Spurs’ new managing director during the summer but access has been limited as far as publicly addressing the supporters goes.
Soundbites from the former Juventus man have been few and far between since arriving back in June.
But the 49-year-old did make an exciting statement regarding Tottenham yesterday, claiming that the club is capable of building something ‘really, really big’.
The Lilywhites have been on a slippery slope over the past couple of years.
In fact it’s pretty much been all been downhill since losing the Champions League final under Mauricio Pochettino in 2019, but Paratici, who hired Nuno Espirito Santo during the summer, says that the club’s infrastructure could bring about major dividends to his and Daniel Levy’s project at the club.
Here’s how some Tottenham fans reacted to his comments on Twitter:
Is he right?
Probably, yep.
Listen, Tottenham aren’t Real Madrid in disguise, but they could and should be doing much better than they are.
Harry Kane is a generational talent, one of the world’s finest goalscorers and the fact that they’ve been nowhere near qualifying for the Champions League in recent years, let alone challenging for the Premier League title, is a big shame and you sense that it’s an opportunity wasted.
But with the right manager, the Lilywhites could still be massive.
Question is, is Nuno the right man? Well the fact that Tottenham are eighth – one place above where they finished last term – in the table indicates that the Portuguese is throwing up more questions than answers for now.
